was thinking the same as shaman, you have to play a holding player (carrick, parker) and then choose from either gerrard, lampard and beckham.
and yes... hargreaves? tbh, i dont even know where he plays when he comes on? whats his job? to score? no... to create? no... to win tackles? no... what then?
They wont sack Sven now, not with only 2 games to go. Also, seriously, who is the alternative? Curbishly aint leaving Charlton. Mclaren is no.2 and seems to have a lot of input, so it must be half his fault too?
sir clive woodward :uberteef:
the substitutions were terrible last night ... but some of the blame surely goes on the players as well ... the difference in the passion and commitment from n ireland compared to our boys was unbelievable - they just didn't look like they wanted to be there .. at the end it was still them attacking for the last 10 minutes!
i think we need to build the team around one or two key players rather than trying to accomodate everyone ... i guess at the moment that means setting the team up so we get the most out of rooney .. i actually think of the midfield three beckham looked by far the best although you do need a more specialist ball winner in there as well ..
in terms of other managers i really can't think of an english manager who has enough top flight experience ... (maclaren is average and like someone said already in the set up) .. how about martin o'neill if he wanted to come back into football???
Does anyone not also think the problem is having to play Beckham?
I think he upsets the midfield balance & mood of the team too much.

He seems to be able to dictate where he plays too....
I am frankly shocked at rumours of Sam Alladyce taking over, he plays long ball ffs...
jose mourinho all the way for me!!!!

It 'd be great if we could get him, or Wenger, someone with a proven record in English football...
