He excels at what he's turned his hand to. 'Moth' is like a standard house track, but unlike most house, makes me want to listen to it. There's a sense of evolution in the track, not to a great extent, but exploiting all the sounds use and seemingly trying them in so many combinations and different orders, yet not in a way that sounds like a random displacement of samples. It's also a warming and lovely tune.
'Wolf Club' has a long build-up and there must be some subtleties there I haven't yet picked up on, because I like the intro a lot and it's quite repetitive.
The track in the thread-opening post anyway is just some of the best music I've heard. I can't get over how much it moves me.

Moth b/w Wolf Club is back in at Chemical Records.
Burial in general.
Gotta be my favourite musician.
thoughts on the kindred EP?
personally theyre well done tunes per usual but they meander a bit much and not as strong an outing as his street halo EP. my favorite thing he's done recently:
personally I thought they were an improvement on Street Halo which I found a bit bland... Also he's back to using more of a garagey groove again which I dig.

I quite like that these tracks sound kind of like mixtape segments, much like his massive attack reworks he did.
At first its a bit out of left field but the more I listen the more I like it. I think I rember reading a kode 9 interview and he said the way burial sends him music is like these 20 min segments with 10 or 15 tunes all spliced together. Sounds similar to how he's arranged these latest tunes on kindred.
i can listen just for the lo-fi timbre. very nice.
the 'truant' and 'rough sleeper' tunes/EPs are so fucking baaaaaaaaaaaaaddd
