One of those rare cases where re-doing something actually improved it. The 1982 version has better synth sounds in it. Conversely, every time Heaven 17 remixed or did new versions of their original tracks they completely made a mess of them.

Yup, I can understand that. I'd agree in many cases. Often times there's something about original and rough recordings that contains an energy that disappears completely when its taken into a proper/big/pro studio and polished. Starting to veer totally off topic for this thread but something that dismays me is that a lot of people only seem to hear 'production' and not the music contained in a production. I realise both contribute to the experience but still... meh.

Nice one. Checked the rest of the Departure album an it really sounds awesome. It may be my favourite Fanu release since Daylightless album.
Look forward to 2nd Dec to be able to grab it.
