Bonus audio from the soon-arriving "Derelict Career" LP by Foci's Left, the solo project of Mick Robert Buckingham from Oxford, UK. Due to respect of copyright this original version is online as a stream and not on the paid download of my third album.

"Derelict Career" is a 10-track concept album about being an ambient music protagonist who sees the genre-exclusive musicians as fit for a "derelict career" - besides Brian Eno, the style has no sustainable capital powering it; it must stay a hobby. So the point to make is to cover as many different styles of ambient music as possible in order to, jokingly so, avoid a "derelict career".

is it actually a remix (as in using samples of the original) or is it a cover?

It doesn't use any samples, but I called it a remix (or before the word cut off on YouTube, a re-interpretation) because the chords have been developed into something different - the essence of a remix. The piano isn't in the original version either, for example. Rather than a cover, which normally means you sing on it. Make sense?
