Right, my friend Colm informs me: The name of the Talkin' Heads track is "Warning Sign" and it's from the "More Songs About Buildings and Food" LP

It's just a simple step but it's used along with some other breaks throughout Wax Doctors "The Saint" ... there's a mad echo on that snare!
i have the break it's layered with. but hot damn is it nice to have an id on that one, too

thanks code, ol' buddy ol' pal Applause

2012 Bump

Could somebody tell me the origin of the bass/synth/stab sound as featured in 'The Saint' please Kisskiss
I suspect it's lifted from an old techno or electro tune, which I suspect I may know, but I suspect I may have a dubious memory.

Uncovered the dubplate version on my Googlequest before giving up, which was nice. Hear it here: http://goldenerajungle.com/php-files/vie...age_id=561

(thanks for the link Code Wink )
In fact I'd love to know where all the other bits came from too..

The vocal?

Goddammit such a tune Lovesmilie
Code Wrote:(Though I do like the song of theirs used in Donnie Darko!)

Love that Tears For Fears track also. You can hear the intro of it sampled in Cash Money & Marvellous 'Ugly People Be Quiet'

Was checking their "Songs From The Big Chair" album for the laugh today ...

The last track "Listen" is great.
